Hot Fireman!

The fire station down the street from us had an open house this last weekend. They had the firetrucks, ambulance, police cars all out for the kids to get into and check out. They also had information booths where they talked to the kids about safety, 911, etc. They also had hot dogs. It was really neat. Austin loved the fireman's hat. I think he's pretty hot, but I am biased.

Austin Crawling

Austin has learned how to crawl! Everything must move 3 feet up!!

Austin LOVES crawling. He has realized that he can now explore the house and find things. He loves going into the office and finding the cords. It is so fun watching him crawl and find new things.

Jenny's New Do!

Jenny decided that she wanted to cut her hair short to her chin because she hates getting tangels, so mommy and daddy said "ok." I took her to Lollilocks this morning, and we looked at pictures. She decided that she liked the "bob." So that's what we did. She has an A-line bob where it is shorter in the back and longer in the front. You can't tell in the picture because she had the lady put her hair up in ponytails. When we take them out I'll take another picture of her hair without the ponytails. Jenny absolutly loves it. She says "it's really cute!" Mommy agrees.

Austin is up on all fours!

Austin has learned how to push up onto his hands and knees. Once he gets up he rocks back and forth. He's only gets up for a couple of seconds, but it won't be long until he is crawling around. I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet. I liked being able to corral him into one area. I can't even put him into his excersaucer or jumper anymore. He wants to be on the floor so that he can at least roll to wherever he wants to go. Jenny crawled at 8 months, and since Austin is 7 months I better get ready soon. He is so ready to be mobile and to chase sissy around the house. It is very fun, though, to see him moving and growing. I do love it!
"And he's UP!"

This is just a funny picture. He was rolling around the floor and found Jenny's socks that she had left on the floor. He decided it would be fun to chew on it. When I looked over at Austin this is what I saw. I started laughing. Jenny came out to see why I was laughing. She looked at Austin and started cracking up too. I ran to grab my camera as this was something I had to share. Enjoy!

Jenny's 4th Birthday

Jenny turned 4 on January 7th. We had two parties for her, one with just family, and one at Chuck E. Cheese with her friends. She loved having two parties. It was definitely Jenny's day.

At Chuck E. Cheese they made Jenny stand up during the song to put on her birthday medallion. She was shy because Chucky was right there.

Austin's 1st Time Swimming

We went to the club to take Austin swimming for the first time. He loved it! When we got into the pool area he got wide eyed and started squealing. When we got into the pool he would move his arms up and down to cause a splash and then gasp because the water had hit him in the face. Jenny loved swimming with her brother. In case you were wondering, the things in Jenny's ears are ear plugs to keep the water out of her ears as she can't get water in her ears due to the tubes. It was a fun afternoon!

Ice Skating

Jenny wanted to go ice skating so I took her to Southlands Mall where they turn the fountain into an ice arena in the winter. She was very excited until we actually got out there. Once she realized that it was very slippery, she didn't want to fall on her butt. We went around about 2 times and then her feet were hurting, so she was done. Mommy wasn't too disappointed to be done either as she has not ice skated in a very long time and was scared to death of falling on her butt too. And let me tell you, it was a work out! It is hard trying to balance yourself, not fall, skate, hold Jenny, keep her from falling, and help her skate. I have new appreciation for all the professional ice skaters out there.
