Sleeping on the job

So, I was feeding Austin last night some cereal and carrots, and I guess they weren't good enough because all of a sudden he just went to sleep. It kind of scared me at first because he literally just passed out, but he was breathing and okay. He looked so cute that I knew I had to take a picture of him.

Funny Story

So yesterday, Jenny was running around the house like crazy, probably from a sugar high because she kept sneaking candy. I kept telling her to stop and of course she wouldn't, so finally I raised my voice and said "Jenny, stop running now!" Jenny proceeded to stop right in front of me, looked at me, and said "Yes, your majesty" and bowed. I started cracking up. I thought wow, I've succeeded as a parent when your child calls you your majesty. LOL

Austin 4 month checkup

Austin had his 4 month checkup today. He weighs 17.5 pounds and is 27 inches long. He is in the 89% catagory for his weight and 99% for his height. So he's tall and lean. Austin does however have an ear infection in his left ear and a bit of pink eye in his left eye. So, he is on antibiotics for both of those. He also recieved an oral immunization and 3 shots, so needless to say Austin is not feeling the greatest right now. My poor baby! :(

Jenny and Barbie

On Saturday we all decided to go to Walmart to see if we could find the Barbie and "The Diamond Castle" horse and carriage. Jenny loves that movie and already has one of the Barbie's, Liana, from the movie. She has told us that for Christmas she wants the other Barbie, Alexa, the Diamond Castle itself, and the horse and carriage. We had seen in the ads that Walmart dropped their price for the horse and carriage from $50 to $20 so we couldn't pass it up. I took Jenny and Austin and went to a different part of the store while Bryan went and found the horse and carriage, paid for it, and put it in the back of the car. Now if only we could get such a great deal on Alexa and the castle. Maybe the day after Thanksgiving.
As we were walking back to the front of the store who do we run into?? Alexa and Liana from "The Diamond Castle." We had no idea that they were going to be there that day, so we tried to get Jenny to take a picture with her favorite Barbies. As you can tell Mommy was more excited then Jenny as Jenny was a little scared. She wouldn't stand by them, so I had to hold her. She wouldn't even smile. We took the picture anyways and now Jenny carries the picture everywhere and says "that's Alexa and Liana with me." Of course I scanned the picture before I let her have it.

I took this picture with my cell phone so it is a little blurry, but one of my favorites. Jenny actually held Austin, smiled, and looked at the camera. I made funny faces to get Austin to smile. I was amazed I got a great picture.

Ariel and our Military Baby

We had a great Halloween. We had our families over and Jenny's best friend Joey. Jenny was Ariel from "The Little Mermaid," Joey was Wolverine from "The X-Men," and Austin was our military baby in honor of his Uncle Dan, Uncle Teag, and Uncle Trevor who are serving in the military. We met up with several of the neighborhood kids and all went trick-or-treating. It was a huge group and very fun. We have the best neighborhood!
Jenny as Ariel. She waited so long to wear her costume, and I was thrilled that is was such a warm night as her costume would not have been as fun if it had to of been covered up with a winter coat. She did start out with a sweater, but then took it off as she was hot from walking so much. About half way through our trick-or-treating I had to unload some of her candy into my pockets as her bucket was overflowing and heavy. When we got back to the house she was so excited to see how much candy she had gotten. So was Daddy & Papa, and they quickly snuck some candy from her bucket without her seeing.

Austin as our military baby. He went trick-0r-treating for about half of the time then went home as he was tired and hungry, but he enjoyed seeing the lights.

Our princess and Navy/Marine baby.

Pumpkin Carving

I guess I should label it pumpkin coloring enstead of pumpkin carving. Jenny didn't want to cut her pumpkin open to pull out all of the "yucky" stuff, so I gave her the choice to color her pumpkin. She jumped at that, and as you can tell she drew a nice pumpkin face. She was very proud of her pumpkin.
